Congrats to Carol's Ferals

While I was catching up some of my blog reading this morning I was happy to see the Carol's Ferals is officially a non-profit!! I've had the pleasure and opportunity to work with Carol from time to time.

Carol is very passionnate about cats, especially when it comes to trap-neuter-return. She deals with feral cats and colonies in the area. She has fixed countless cats in an effort to help control the overpopulation of cats in the area. Many lives have been saved simply because they weren't born in the first place. She has done a wonderful job, along with Focus on Ferals, teaching the community about feral cats and the importance of getting them fixed.

Congrats Carol on taking another step in your dreams when it comes to helping out feral cats.

Friday Photo - Survival

As breast cancer awareness month nears an end I thought I'd post a picture of Sue and Amber. Amber was one of our foster dogs from a couple of years ago. I've kept in touch with Sue and we've even watched Amber for a few days last fall.

This past winter Sue was diagnosed with breast cancer. After going through treatment her hair is finally starting to grow back. She wanted me to take some pictures of her and Amber together.

It was good to see both Sue and Amber. I know that Amber has helped Sue through some difficult times. And I know that Amber is greatful to have a forever home where she's completely loved and spoiled.

Friday Photo - Big Yawn

A couple of weeks ago Andrew and I went to the HH Backer show in Chicago. We were able to spend a little time being tourists and went to the Brookfield Zoo for a few hours. This tiger woke up, yawned a few times, and then went back to sleep.

Friday Photo - Thirsty

We had Haven with us when we met past foster dog Amber to take some photos. We walked around the park where we met. At the end of our walk Haven was ready for a drink. She didn't mind drinking from the water fountain and looked like a pro doing it.

Friday Photo - Amber Photo Shoot

A couple of weekends ago Andrew and I met up with Amber, a dog that we fostered and watched once after she was adopted. Sue, her owner wanted me to take some pictures of her and Amber together.

We also took Haven. A photo of her will be next week's Friday Photo.
